Elena Gagon Dunn

Elena grew up with two rambunctious Labradors — Rainbow, whom she named at age five because she wanted to name her the prettiest thing she could think of, and Moses, whom her family found wandering out of the woods behind their house. Animals have been part of her life for as long as she can remember.
When she went off to college, she got her first cat — a Norwegian Forest Cat named Rom. He was her heart cat, and it was Rom who taught her what it really means to be responsible for an animal on your own. When Rom's health declined, caring for him through that season gave her hands-on experience administering medications, including insulin shots — something she is fully comfortable with and glad to offer to clients who need it.
By day, Elena works at the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, where she creates programming for children and families. That work brings her so much — there is a particular kind of reward in creating something meaningful for people who need it. She brings that same intention to every animal she cares for.
Elena has been pet sitting privately since 2014, with additional experience through Rover and Wag. She currently shares her home in Decatur with her husband, Nash, and their two cats, Agatha and Arthur. She always schedules a meet-and-greet before confirming any booking — because your comfort and your pet's comfort matter just as much as hers.

Nash Dunn

Nash grew up in North Carolina with a sweet dog named Shelby, and animals have been part of his story ever since. When he moved to Decatur, he found his community home at Decatur Package Store, where he has served as General Manager for several years. Anyone who knows Decatur Package Store knows it is far more than a liquor store — it is a genuine neighborhood institution, and Nash is a big part of why.
When Nash and Elena moved in together, he was introduced to Rom, Elena's large Norwegian Forest Cat, and quickly discovered that cats were nothing to be afraid of. Rom had a way of sizing people up and deciding whether they were worth his time. He decided Nash was worth it, and that was that.
But Nash's heart animal was Goose — a food driven, people loving Corgi who was more human than dog. Goose wanted to be everywhere Nash was. The lake, the streets of New Orleans in his backpack, the mountains, the beach, weekends out with friends — Goose was there for all of it. When Goose passed in 2024 after a long battle with degenerative myelopathy, the outpouring of love from the Decatur community was something Nash and Elena will never forget. Goose had that effect on people.
Nash has been pet sitting privately for family and friends since 2019. When he cares for your animals, he brings the same warmth and presence he gave Goose every single day.
